Wie in allen Arbeiten der Gemstone Layers Serie scheint auch hier die Naturleinwand zwischen den Lasuren hindurch und gibt den Tönen ihre glasklare Leuchtkraft. Leuchtendes Türkis, Petrol und Smaragdgrün kreisen wie tropisches Wasser in Bewegung um ein helles Zentrum – die Farbwelt des gleichnamigen Edelsteins. Im Raum sorgt es für Frische und Klarheit, fast wie ein offenes Fenster zum Wasser.

As in all works from the Gemstone Layers series, the natural canvas shines through between the translucent layers, giving the colors their crystal-clear luminosity. Luminous turquoise, petrol, and emerald green swirl around a bright center like tropical water in motion — echoing the color palette of the gemstone of the same name. In a room, it brings a sense of freshness and clarity, almost like an open window overlooking the water.
