Fire Opal

Loderndes Feuer, das von innen heraus glüht: Leuchtendes Orange, Rot und Gelb überlagern sich hier zu breiten, transparenten Ringen. Dass die Naturleinwand zwischen den Lasuren durchscheint – das Grundprinzip meiner Gemstone Layers Serie – gibt dem Bild dasselbe innere Flackern wie dem gleichnamigen Edelstein. An der Wand ist es ein echter Blickfang, der einem Raum Energie und Wärme gibt.

Blazing fire glowing from within: luminous orange, red, and yellow overlap in broad, translucent rings. The natural canvas showing through between the layers — the defining principle of my Gemstone Layers series — gives the painting the same inner flicker as the gemstone of the same name.
